Narmada River It is one of the seven holy rivers of India. The river also known as the “The lifeline of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.” The Narmada, also called as Rewa, it is the fifth longest river. Source of the Narmada is Narmada Kund, located at Amarkantak in Anuppur District, Madhya Pradesh. Parikrama or Pradakshina refers to circumambulation of sacred places to imbibe their energy in Sikh, Hindu, Jain or Buddhist context, and the path along which this is performed.The people doing this Parikrma are respected and given all the help from the locals.

Ujjain:  It is the fifth largest city in Madhya Pradesh by population and is the administrative centre of Ujjain district and Ujjain division.

Onkareshwar: It is known for the temple of Lord Shiva. This temple is considered to be one of the 12 revered jyotirlinga shrines of Lord Shiva.

Shahada Explore the excavation site of Prakash Village. Another attractions of the town is a religious village which is also known as Dakshin Kashi, housing innumerable temples of Lord Shiva.

Garudeshwar: It is a sacred place to all devotees of Lord Dattatreya. It is the place where Paramahamsa Parivrajakacharya Sree Vasudevananda Saraswathy Swamy Maharaj took his Samadhi. The Samadhi Mandir is on the banks of Narmada river.

Maheshwar: It is known for the Ahilya fort which was built by the great Maratha Holkar. It is also know for the Narmada river bank known as Maheshwari.

Nemawar: It is based along the river Narmada and know of many temples situated in the town.

Amarkantak: It is a well known pligrimage location in India. It is known for the ancient temples of Narmada Kund. It is surrounded by rich variety of flora with medicinal properties.
